Meet Aziz, a dedicated and accomplished professional who has journeyed from Pakistan to Australia, driven by a strong belief in the transformative power of education.

Born and raised in Pakistan, Aziz’s early life was marked by a deep respect for education, a value instilled by his family. Aziz deeply admired his family members, relatives and elders who worked as medical and engineering professionals and were highly respected in the community. He then realized that education is the key to prosperity, respect, and success. This belief guided him through his academic journey, where he excelled in his studies, earning top ranks at the leading Engineering University in Lahore, Pakistan.

Aziz’s diligence and eagerness to work led him to a successful career as a Petroleum Engineer in the Middle East. He had never imagined leaving Pakistan, but with the support of his parents, he embraced the opportunity. His career flourished but his desire for further education remained strong. In a planned and bold move, Aziz resigned from his job after getting the Australian immigration as a skilled migrant and moved to Australia. After arrival in Australia, he pursued a master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering in a prestigious Australian university. He also earned Australian Postgraduate Research Award (APRA) a prestigious Australian scholarship to complete his Master’s degree.

He has excelled in both, engineering research, and teaching. He is currently based in Melbourne. He has created a life that balances professional success and community service. Aziz volunteers with various organizations such as Wyndham Interfaith Network (WIN), Rotary Club of Hoppers Crossing, QB Community Centre and the Werribee Islam Centre. He is involved in various community activities - where he mentors young students, works on projects for needy and to foster harmony among different faiths through the WIN network.

A proud father, Aziz has passed on his values to his children, who have followed in his footsteps, achieving success in their own careers. Despite the challenges he has faced, Aziz remains a relaxed and positive individual, continuously learning and contributing to his community. Whether it is navigating innovative technologies like AI or gardening to stay fit, Aziz’s life is a testament to the power of perseverance, education and giving back
